Nanoparticles are particles between 1 and 100 nanometers in size. In nanotechnology, a particle is defined as a small object that behaves as a whole unit with respect to its transport and properties. Particles are further classified according to diameter. Ultra fine particles are the same as nanoparticles and between 1 and 100 nanometers in size, fine particles are sized between 100 and 2,500 nanometers, and coarse particles cover a range between 2,500 and 10,000 nanometers. Nanoparticle research is currently an area of intense scientific interest due to a wide variety of potential applications in biomedical, optical and electronic fields.

How nanotechnology is going to shape the electronics industry

Electronics industry is one of the most interesting industry sector - if not the most interesting - for the application of nanotechnology. Already in present time, nanotechnology has already been introduced to the electronic industry. The critical length scale of the integrated circuits are already in nano scale. In this particular article few of the most popular product segments will be discussed.

Application of Graphene

In order to get introduced to Graphene, a good point of start would be Graphite. Graphite is a naturally-occurring form of crystalline carbon. It is a native element mineral found in metamorphic and igneous rocks. Regarding its composition, Graphite is a stack of carbon-atom layers.

Gronau, Germany: There is a wooden child's bed built like a Viking ship in the winter garden of his office- including a red-white sail, a steering wheel and a horse's head. Everything made by himself. A gleaming mahogany table can be found within his office. It is dark brown and sufficient for more than 20 people. Also restored by himself. Next to the office door you will walk straight into a laboratory where two scientists are busy working with bulbs and an agitating machine. Financed by himself. Gregor Luthe surely was one of those kids whose first word was “himself”.

Waterproof coating

Nanocoating is the result of an application where nano structures build a consistent network of molecules on a surface. This entails the chemical process where the surface can be designed to become (super) hydrophobic or hydrophilic for example. Nanocoating is a growing line and some of its applications are already in use whereas many more, with great potential, are being researched on. In this article we will look at the top 8 applications of nanocoating that is currently being used.

Nanotechnology defined as the science, engineering, and technology conducted at the nanoscale, which is about 1 to 100 nano meters has been around for something over 40 years now. Still when I talk about nanotechnology, general people perceive it as a technology of the future. At times I still get questions like “what is nanotechnology?” On this trying to explain on basis of the given definition mostly leaves a vague image of what nanotechnology really is. In my experience, I have always found it more effective to give examples of nanotechnology. This even more so when these are in their daily lives. That is where I would be dedicating this article towards. Here are the ten daily life products with nanotechnology.

SLR camera

A good picture of your selling item helps buyers make their purchasing decision. Being the first point of contact, a good picture can make the difference in your goal as a seller. Investing some time in producing quality photos will most probably bring higher returns. Here are some tips to make photos that attract buyers.

  1. Avoid using busy backgrounds
  2. Make use of appropriate lighting
  3. Avoid holding camera in hands
  4. Capture pictures in high resolution
  5. Get close-up shots
  6. Take shots from various angles

The two Buying Decision Process factors prior to Purchasing are Evaluation of Alternatives and Information Research.

In plain english it means that before potential buyers add your micro-/nanotechnological product to their basket, they want to know more about your company. Thus to improve your sales it is very important to optimize your Vendor's Profile. The best way to optimize your profile is by adding relevant and clear information about your company, such as your Logo, a helpful Vendor's Description, applicable Terms of Service and Legal Information. To do all that, just follow these 5 quick steps.

Single-walled-carbon nanotubes and multi-walled-carbon nanotubes molecular structure

Till 1980 only three forms of carbon were known, namely diamond, graphite, and amorphous carbon. Nowadays a whole family of other forms of carbon is known. The hollow, cage like buckminsterfullerene molecule – also known as the buckyball, or the C60 fullerene, was the first to be discovered. These days there are much more forms of fullerenes, and also a widespread family of linear molecules, carbon nanotubes known.
