International MicroNanoConference 2017

The International MicroNanoConference 2017 was held at the Beurs van Berlage in the very heart of Amsterdam. From Tuesday 12th Dec. to Wednesday 13th Dec. Nanobay participated in the ROCKET booth, presenting some of the projecs and collaborations we are involved in.

Nanoparticles are particles between 1 and 100 nanometers in size. In nanotechnology, a particle is defined as a small object that behaves as a whole unit with respect to its transport and properties. Particles are further classified according to diameter. Ultra fine particles are the same as nanoparticles and between 1 and 100 nanometers in size, fine particles are sized between 100 and 2,500 nanometers, and coarse particles cover a range between 2,500 and 10,000 nanometers. Nanoparticle research is currently an area of intense scientific interest due to a wide variety of potential applications in biomedical, optical and electronic fields.

How nanotechnology is going to shape the electronics industry


Electronics industry is one of the most interesting industry sector - if not the most interesting - for the application of nanotechnology. Already in present time, nanotechnology has already been introduced to the electronic industry. The critical length scale of the integrated circuits are already in nano scale.
