Dear reader,

I would like to welcome you to our news section on nanobay.
In this short editorial I would like to share our ideas and the philosophy lying behind this section.

As you know, nanotechnology is a breakthrough technology comparable to the invention of the wheel or electricity ushering mankind in a new era. It has found its way into different areas of technology, such as physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, etc. and cross-links a lot of them together. In that respect, it is also one of the fastest growing communities, which naturally splits up into a lot of sub-communities. Therefore, it is hard to track all different and new developments and keep the overview.

Here our mission starts as we want to build this news site as a platform where our readers can find the newest developments. Unlike other sites we will be interdisciplinary covering all cutting-edge fields where nano rules.
We will therefore have different categorized content. First, there will be just content we track and deem interesting for our readers. Second, we will also present editorial content where things will be explained in more detail and depth so it will become understandable for the majority of our readers. Third, we will have guest editors presenting specific topics. Fourth, the news items will cover both academic and industrial (product, developments) news.

And last but not least, we would like to implement this informative forum to become also a discussion forum.

Here is where we ask our readers for their input: Inform us about conferences or new breakthroughs your are aware of and we might have missed.
Also send us articles on research or developments you deem worthy to be presented to a large community. We would review the articles and come back to you.

During the cause of time, our editorial team will introduce itself to you with a short description of themselves and an article from a topic reflecting their background.

Sincerely yours,

Georgios Ctistis
